Technical Sales Representative

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in building solutions from industry standard products and services. They will work closely with our account managers and clients to develop customised solutions that meet our client’s objectives, with a focus on the technical aspects of the opportunity or requirement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating quotations and processing sales orders within our sales platform, and will earn a percentage of successful sales that match the performance criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our company’s products and services, as well as the managed services that we provide.
  • Work closely with account managers and clients to identify client needs and develop customised solutions, with a focus on the technical aspects of the deal.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analyse client requirements and develop solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Identify and address technical issues or obstacles that may arise during the sales process.
  • Collaborate with account managers and other members of the sales team to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Generate quotations and process sales orders.
  • Manage multiple sales opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Adapt to changing client needs and market conditions.
  • Focus on achieving sales goals and driving revenue for the company.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, with selling and designing solutions being advantageous.
  • Strong technical background. An understanding of compliance, security, and productivity software will be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales goals and driving revenue for the company.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed quota for number of sales calls and meetings with prospective clients, alongside Account Executive.
  • Increase revenue from existing clients through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Achieve high conversion rates from leads to closed deals.
